A2J Author is a cloud-based software tool designed to enhance access to justice for self-represented litigants. It empowers non-technical users from courts, clerk’s offices, legal services organizations, and law schools to rapidly create and implement user-friendly, web-based document assembly projects. These projects consist of two main components: A2J Guided Interviews and A2J Templates. A2J Guided Interviews present complex legal information in a straightforward manner, enabling users to complete court documents ready for filing. A2J Templates automate the generation of these documents based on user input. Since its inception, A2J Author has been instrumental in facilitating over 8 million A2J Guided Interview runs, assisting self-represented litigants across the United States and internationally. The platform is available for free to interested court and legal services organizations for non-commercial use. Additionally, A2J Author offers hosting services for A2J Guided Interviews and Templates, further supporting the legal community in providing accessible legal assistance.
