AILEX is a Tokyo-based legal technology company developing an AI legal operating system for law firms in Japan. Its current product uses an agent-based workflow: AI reviews case records and prepares document drafts and filing materials, while lawyers review the supporting records, make legal decisions, and approve the next steps. The platform brings case management, document drafting, deadlines and billing into a case-centered workflow. It also prepares PDF filing packages for Japan’s mints system; lawyers upload the packages themselves. AI outputs are drafts and reference information, and the platform does not independently provide legal representation or submit documents to courts.
