Amplifi

Amplifi is an AI-powered intelligibility risk platform built for legal teams and compliance functions operating in regulated sectors. The platform assesses documents not only for readability but for genuine comprehension risk—whether readers can understand, apply, and make decisions based on the content they receive. Key features include a proprietary scoring model that evaluates linguistic complexity, information structure, visual content, and numerical clarity, with each identified risk mapped to relevant regulatory obligations, including FCA Consumer Duty, CONC, the Consumer Rights Act, and the SRA Code of Conduct. Amplifi integrates directly with Microsoft Word, allowing legal teams to draft and edit while receiving live intelligibility scoring, flagging of complex sentences and ambiguous terms, and AI-generated rewrite suggestions grounded in proprietary intelligibility models. The platform supports the full content lifecycle, from initial document assessment and simplification through collaborative review, publication gating, internal performance reporting, and external regulatory reporting. Documents are only marked ready once they meet defined intelligibility thresholds. Amplifi includes content governance tools such as a Terms and Phrases Library for approved and banned terminology, a Definitions Library for standardized legal terms and plain-language explainers, and configurable Writing Standards that enforce tone, grammar, and sentence structure across all document types. The platform generates audit-ready reports that can be exported by timeline, document type, or practice area and mapped directly to SRA, CMA, and FCA requirements. Version tracking and sign-off accountability are embedded throughout the workflow. AI-generated content is assessed against the same intelligibility standards as human-drafted content, applying content governance rules and intelligibility targets regardless of how the document was produced. Developed with FCA support through the Regulatory Sandbox beginning in 2019 and in collaboration with the SRA through its Innovation Trials programme, Amplifi was featured in the FCA AI Spotlight and Marketplace under Explainability, Governance, and Transparency in 2025.
