The platform enables NPOs to draft legal documents and complete court forms without the need for an attorney, thereby reducing delays and costs associated with traditional legal processes. Jusdraft offers a user-friendly, real-time online legal document drafting tool tailored for South African NPOs, facilitating the creation of court forms, contracts, wills, and more. The platform is equipped with an accompanying law guide written in plain English, a selection of legal infographics, a range of self-help video tutorials, and a 24/7 telephone legal advice helpline. These resources are designed to assist non-legal professionals in understanding and navigating complex legal principles, thereby enhancing the capacity of NPOs to serve their communities effectively. Jusdraft was initially developed in response to HiiL’s Innovating Justice Challenge in early 2018 by Epoq Legal, with the support of various organizations committed to improving access to justice. The platform is available to NPOs at no cost, reflecting Jusdraft's commitment to making legal services more accessible and affordable for those in need.
