Practising Law Institute (PLI) is a non-profit continuing legal education (CLE) organization dedicated to providing attorneys and other professionals with the most up-to-date, relevant information and techniques critical to their development. Founded in 1933 and chartered by the Regents of the University of the State of New York, PLI offers accredited CLE programs across 33 practice areas, delivered by over 4,000 volunteer faculty members, including prominent lawyers, judges, investment bankers, accountants, corporate counsel, and U.S. and international government regulators. In addition to its educational programs, PLI publishes a comprehensive library of treatises, course handbooks, answer books, and journals, accessible through the PLI PLUS online platform and mobile app. Committed to pro bono service, PLI has had over 98,000 attendees at its pro bono programs in the past year. Headquartered in New York City, PLI also maintains an office and conference center in San Francisco.
